Forgive and Forget

Are you the type of person that can forgive and forget someone who has hurt you badly? Is it even possible to forget?

Nope. I can't forgive or forget. Have done so in the past and got hurt again, so I learnt my lesson.

To forgive someone gives them a chance to do it again... To not forgive is to be smart

It's a two sided sword for me because I'm the type of person who can forgive because I truly believe people can change BUT I never forget what the person has done to me. I also believe in this quote: Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me.

In time, yes, because in order to be forgiven by others, you must first forgive the one's that have hurt you. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, so you'll have to eventually forgive them. Now, as far as forgetting goes, you can't forget what that person did to you, but you can forgive them and forget it in the sense you're putting it aside. Nothing wrong with remember what they did to you as long as it's forgiven and there's no hard feelings.
