For those of you in the Online World, are you the kind of person that likes to enter contests? And why do you like to do so? Do you only enter them cause of a cash prize or other sort of prize? Or just for the fun of it?

Have to be totally honest here and tell you that I'm out for cash or a tangible prize when I enter a forum contest. I don't care what the contest is, as it's the prize I'm after. The contest I like best are the posting contests. Not only do they offer the largest cash prize, they are fun and very competitive. I entered one on another forum for a cash prize. Not only did it up the post count for the forum, I have never seen so many members register for a contest. It makes members want to post to achieve that prize. I've also entered contests for non-cash prizes but there was always a T-shirt, coffee mug or other items I wanted to win. Cash and tangible prize contests (IMO) are a win-win for the forum and members alike.

I don't care much about contests. I'm on a forum for discussion, if I want to play a game I'll play an actual videogame.

I will only enter a contest if it's a cashprize. If the prize is software of some sort, it doesn't bother me much.
