Forum Woes

Recently I made the decision that I ought to join some more forums. To date I was only a member on 3 forums and had found that they were somewhat lacking in activity, though I do enjoy being a member on them very much.

Anyway I made up my mind to find and then join up on 3 more. Let me tell you how that all went down:

Forum #1: Was quite good and I made around 50 posts in the first week. Then out of the blue they told me that I *MUST* do the 2 step authentication process in order to be able to log in from now on. I had decided that I didn't want to do that as I don't particularly enjoy jumping through hoops just to log in. So...they made the decision for me right?...(wrong) They are no doubt wondering as to why I haven't logged in today and will soon realize that I have abandoned ship and swam off for good.

Forum #2: Seemed o.k. when I first checked it out as a guest. Then I registered and was quickly accepted then could not upload my avatar. No way...tried everything. Contacted the admin, received no answer. She is probably wondering why I deleted my account without ever making a single post.

Forum #3: Is this one and so far so good. I hope that they don't try and shove that 2 step stuff down my throat.

I just had the same thing about the 2FA. What's even more annoying is that it requires me to do it every time I visit the forum.

I am on half a dozen but don't actively post on all of them. Kind of move around, in fact, which is why I disappeared from here for a while.

I hate 2FA on forums. I have to go login to my email and get a code.... How tedious
