Friends? What for?

I'd really like to have a few more friends, in fact. I only have one really good friend and we've been friends for some few years now. We actually lived together for an entire year in an apartment and he has gained my full trust by everything I've told him and our family leaving him alone in our house for a week or two to take care of our dogs when we went on vacation. I'm not the type that wants a whole bunch of friends, but just a small handful. I've been used and abused from time to time in the friend's circle and it's not a great feeling at all, but there are decent people out there that would make great friends with that you could really build a bond to trust, do activities with each other, and just keep in touch.

Can relate to that. I have a very small circle of friends. Really only one best friend but he moved away recently. Other friends still in the area are just acquaintances really. I mainly hang out with my daughter and BF.

The friend I spoke of moved away too, a close city, but still about a 30-45 minute drive.

Thats good that he's still close by. Mine moved an hour away. I should go see his new place one of these days.
