Gays and lesbians have the same right to serve their countries. It's not fair that they are told that they can't because of their sexual preference.

I think that it's terrible that they would even consider doing that. How dare they tell someone they cannot serve they're country just because they like people of the same sex. It just seems inhumane that out planet is coming to this.

Gay's should not be allowed in the army because our troops are representatives of our country.. We dont want the world thinking we are a bunch of sissy's do we?

Ive seen some gay people who are definately not sissy's. Some are like huge body builders who could whoop anyone.

I don't see a problem with it either. People are just too dumb to realize how wrong they are when they refuse to let certain peopel do things like serve in the army.

it's disgusting that anyone could even consider this. if it was a gay person in power, we could be having the exact opposite conversation - should straights be allowed in the military. a lot of this kind of stuff does depend on who is in power. for example the holocaust wouldn't have happened if Hitler hadn't become the chancellor.

Barack Obama pretty much hit the nail on the head when he legalised being openly gay in the US military, can't remember exactly what it was he said though.

It's stupid that they actually didn't allow it, but at least I had a reason to not be forced into the military. I could say I was gay and It's not like I would be lying.
