gimp?

I have it and use it on occasion, seems to be a nice program. A little confusing sometimes though.

I thought it was pretty self explanatory, the second I installed it, I felt as if I already new everything about it. Haha.

Although I prefer Photoshop myself,I've seen some stunning work made with GIMP.

I had gimp once, but i didn't really try to master it so i failed, back to photoshop! :D

I've found GIMP to be surprisingly powerful, but I don't particularly love the user interface. It takes some getting used to, for sure. :P

It's still what I normally use because I can't afford photoshop.

Who can?

I looked on their website just now and it looks like they charge $20 per month to use their program now. Before I think you had to buy it for $700 or something like that.

I watched a couple tutorials on youtube and I can do a little more with gimp now.

Do you have any examples of some work you have created with GIMP? :D

Not really. I just meant I've figured out how to use the tools more.

That's weird. I can use PhotoShop just fine, and I've never paid a dime. I wonder why that is...

If you download the wrong one, it can wreck your computer! :panic:

The computer that I have now is four years old, has had virus after virus, and operates using Windows XP. (That's not a bad thing, I just thought I'd mention) When the power goes out, for some reason, it has this habit of not coming back on for several weeks. I have a Dish wireless network connector plugged via USB that only works when it wants to. It freezes constantly. This happened the minute that I got it and not over time.

Whatever wreck brought can only make it better.
