Google Ban, Australia

Well, I think Australia is going to do what it wants and that country will just have to make it's own search engine. I don't agree with Chris Cooper because none of the other countries are doing that. They're the only country with that problem. So I don't blame Google for stepping out on them if they go ahead with this silly law. The only reason why Google and Facebook are protesting it is because it's hypocritical. Where was this law 15 years ago when Google and Facebook started? That's the problem right there.

“Today’s egregious threats show Google has the body of behemoth, but the brain of brat,” the executive director, Chris Cooper, said. “When a private corporation tries to use its monopoly power to threaten and bully a sovereign nation, it’s a surefire sign that regulation is long overdue.”

They have other search engines, like bing and Yahoo to use. Means that people that has Gmail account can't use them anymore

Threats like this will always be there for the big sites but I don't think any country will be willing to completely ban a company as large as Google. Maybe North Korea but it would create way too many problems for the people in those countries

I think it is not a good thing. Australia will have a hard time accessing information. They need to consider the consequences of doing this.
