We went to like 15 tow yards and police impound lots all morning. We were out there for like four hours.

Just bought myself a new car (well, new to me)

Its pretty sweet. Its an Oldsmobile. It has almost 100,000 miles on it which is more than half what my other car has. 100k is nothing really. It only had one owner which was an old lady. She died and her son was driving her car around. He got pulled over and didn't have a license so his car was impounded. He couldn't afford to get it out of impound so it went up for sale.

Only $600. Well they wanted $1200 for it but I talked them down to $600. Told the guy this big sob story and made him feel bad.

I still liked my car that got wrecked and wish that never happened but this will do for now.

Edit-

Here's a pic:

Wow, not bad. Although I really don't care for cars with the word old in them.

Well it it is old. It was an old lady's car.

I think she just drove it back and forth the supermarket for 20 years because its in great shape still and has a low amount of mileage.

I had an oldsmobile a few years back. That thing was very reliable. I never had any problems in the 4 years I had it. I wrecked that car too (also not my fault).

This might be temporary though. I might get myself a newer car later on if I can save up some money and sell this one.. Or I might just keep it. We'll see.

Nice find if you like it! It's pretty hard finding a good car in one of those impounds/lots.

Yeah it'll do..

I would be happy with a golf cart.

It would take a long time to get to work that way though.

Haha yeah

As long as it gets you from point A to point B for as long as you would like it to/expect it to then that should be good enough

I'm getting my license on the 30th and hopefully my 1995 Chevy Cavalier with 145k miles on it will hold up with me until I graduate high school in 2011

Oh here's a pic of the car.

I guess Im starting to grow attached to it.. It might take some time though.

I deep cleaned the car today.. Went over every nook and cranny. Vacuumed, scrubbed, disinfected everything.

I found a bunch of junk in the trunk, under the front / back seats, glove compartment, etc.. I don't want or have any use for anything in there so I threw it all away.

One thing that made me laugh was finding several empty tubes of denture cream under the front seat.

There was fishing pole in the trunk which was a stick from a tree. I suppose someone cut off all the skin of this branch with a pocket knife. Then tied fishing string to the end. It probably wasn't to efficient without a reel.
