And I always thought that Locke was in favor of open market capitalism.

No - and when things go that way it is because people let it/want it, and someone brings it.



Positive 1 Negative 1 (+1-1) or more commonly known as 1-1, equals (=) 0, zero, not -2, nor +2.

What I was thinking was more power to the people actually. Like so:

First, politicians are elected (preferably for their ideas and not their ads...*) for a few years.

Second, the elected politicians (who would probably have different ideas on things) decide on laws (etc.) they want to pass.

Third, the people vote on these laws (etc.).

Fourth, taxes pay for whatever laws (etc.) got passed.



That way nobody can blame it on the politicians and popularity has a significantly reduced impact on government.







*Seriously, they might as well give people $5 to vote for them...
