We have hardwood in our kitchen, and carpet in the livingroom. Depends on the room.

We have wooden floors in all the downstairs. It's easier than carpets, Just have to hoover

We have polished concrete in the kitchen, dining room, and formal lounge (it's all open living) and the bathrooms. Carpet in the informal lounge, bedrooms, hallway and pool room.

So I'm stuck in the middle.

This is what our concrete floors look like:

Not so much like the second one, but similar.

I do that professionally for my landlord whenever someone moves out of her houses / apartments. Last time I charged her $200 for a small one bedroom house.

We have hardwood floor but when we had carpeting things were much better like I could go downstairs without waking up the folks with the first step.

There's carpet in every room of my house except the kitchen and bathroom, which have a hardwood floor. Hardwood floor is much easier to keep clean, but a carpet is the best choice in the winter because it's much warmer. I'm just going to go with carpet.
