Hillary

16 August

Hillary Rodham Clinton likes to travel in style.

She insists on staying in the “presidential suite” of luxury hotels that she chooses anywhere in the world, including Las Vegas.

She usually requires those who pay her six-figure fees for speeches to also provide a private jet for transportation — only a $39 million, 16-passenger Gulfstream G450 or larger will do.

And she doesn’t travel alone, relying on an entourage of a couple of “travel aides,” and a couple of advance staffers who check out her speech site in the days leading up to her appearance, much like a White House trip, according to her contract and supporting documents concerning her Oct. 13 speech at a University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation fundraiser. The documents were obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal through the state public records law.

CENTER OF ATTENTION

Clinton, a former first lady, U.S. senator from New York and U.S. secretary of state, is expected to run for president in 2016. Her lifestyles of the rich and famous ways and comments that she made about her wealth during a recent book tour have fueled criticism that she’s out of touch with average Americans.

The Democratic contender said she pays taxes, unlike some people who are “truly well off.”

oh boy! a hillary bashing thread! she's number one my top 10 list of women most deserving of gang rape by outlaw biker's list (a spoof. i'm a potty mouth comic, sort of lenny bruce in drag. not seriously glorifying or condoning rape culture. doprah is number two, followed by sarah palin, michelle bachman, dianne feinstein, barbara boxer and jane fonda. i'd have to give it some deeper thought to make it ten right now. might as well toss in our thunder thighed first lady too. she's got to have the biggest bubble booty of any first lady in history. )

i find all sorts of cool stuff laying around this site when i have time to poke around. i wish i could find the meme that has her making an almost identical statement as adolph hitler about minimalizing consideration of individual wants and needs in deference to the needs of the state.

"Hillary bashing"?

No, just not all enthralled every word spoken by Mrs. Clinton and her handlers.

And, it seems I am not alone:

The country’s largest labor union won’t endorse any Democrat who has the same economic team as President Obama and won’t be getting behind Hillary Rodham Clinton early in the 2016 presidential race, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said Thursday.

“If you get the same economic team, you’re going to get the same results. The same results aren’t good enough for working people,” he said.

Hillary%20Pretends%20to%20Grill.jpg

How perfectly Clintonian: “While a crowd of several thousand Democrats waited on a sloping, grassy field below, Mrs Clinton, her husband and Senator Harkin staged a mini-grilling of steaks for the press at a single barbecue grill in a fenced-off enclosure, framed by a handsome tree and a picnic table filled with some patient Iowans. Mrs Clinton gamely posed, pretending to grill a steak that had been pre-cooked for her.”

I'm of two minds when it comes to whether HRC will run for President in 2016...on the one hand, assuming she does run, she is, for all intents-and-purposes, the presumptive Democratic nominee (at present, there's no one that I can think of - Martin O'Malley, Nebulous Biden, Bernie Sanders, etc., who could present much of a serious challenge to her at present).

On the other hand, I wish she'd just come out and say, one way or the other, whether or not she will run because the longer she waits, the more the Democratic field remains frozen and that only helps the den of iniquity that is the present-day GOP.

Whitewater is Back!

The first federal prosecutor to probe the financial dealings of Bill and Hillary Clinton says he was poised to bring high-profile indictments against top Arkansas political and business figures — based in part on testimony from a chief witness against the then president — when he was abruptly replaced by a panel of federal judges, throwing his investigation into turmoil.
...

Appointed by Janet Reno in January 1994, Fiske describes how he moved aggressively from the start, carving out a wide-ranging mandate and hiring a top-flight staff of veteran prosecutors. One of his first moves was to subpoena Hillary Clinton's law firm billing records — documents that were later found under mysterious circumstances in the White House living quarters.

By the summer of 1994, Fiske says, he was preparing to bring eight indictments against 11 defendants, including criminal charges for fraud against Jim and Susan McDougal (the Clintons' Whitewater business partners), Webster Hubbell (then an associate attorney general and formerly Hillary Clinton's law partner) and Jim Guy Tucker (Clinton's successor as governor of Arkansas).

A key witness in these cases was David Hale, a former municipal judge and the owner of a federally subsidized small-business lending company. It was Hale who had made the most serious allegation against Bill Clinton: Hale had claimed that Clinton, while Arkansas governor, had pressured him to make a fraudulent $300,000 federally backed loan to a marketing company owned by Susan McDougal that was really intended to pay off the two couples' debts in their Whitewater real estate investment. ("My name can't show up on this," Hale claimed Clinton had told him, an account that President Clinton later denied.)

Old news...and irrelevant to 2016.

"Let's Do The Time Warp... again...."

The 1992 general election debates are noteworthy for the precedents they established.....

The major themes included trustworthiness and character, the nation's economic problems and the need for change.

Date: October 11, 1992
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Site: Washington University
Participants: George (H.W.) Bush (R ), Bill Clinton (D), Ross Perot (I)

So the Character of the candidate, including their record, is on the table.

That kind of oppo research goes both ways. my friend....and if Hillary's a scumbag, most every Republican - especially those of the prior administration - should be in the dock at the Hague for war crimes.

And then, in a few months, the batting order for the current White House softball team would be next.

Which is why it won't happen.

Prior Administration is not going back in power.

...

It is often noted that one of the most fundamental failings of Mrs Clinton’s 2008 campaign was that she didn’t have a message. It was telling that while Mr Obama’s yard signs were emblazoned with “hope and change" hers carried only her name: “Hillary”.

It became a symptom of the Hillary problem – everyone knew she had experience, money, name recognition and desperately wanted the job, they just weren’t too clear on why she wanted it, and what she’d do when she got it.

This time around Hillary operatives say privately that they are determined not to repeat the same mistake, and over the last two weeks the first fragmentary elements of a message have been audible as Mrs Clinton hits the campaign trail for November’s mid-term elections.

Exactly; its' the political version of Mutually Assured Destruction...which is a lot of progressives - myself included - aren't particularly enthused about HRC.

I hope you are wrong about that. we just do not need a criminal like hillary in office.

We already had one, his name was George W. Bush.

We had one. We have one. And another one named hillary wants to be on that list.
