American Thinker: Hillary secret email account established as she faced confirmation hearings
Joining the New York Times in uncovering details of the Hillary Clinton conspiracy to violate public records disclosure, Phillip Bump of the Washington Post connects some dots and reveals a telling fact showing an explicit plan was put in place to evade the law’s requirements.

In March 2013, an adviser to Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal, had his email hacked by "Guccifer" -- the Romanian hacker perhaps best known for revealing George W. Bush's paintings to the world. At the time, Gawker reported that Blumenthal was communicating with an account that appeared to belong to Clinton at the "clintonemail.com" domain. The content of some of those emails was published by RT.com. Examining the registry information for "clintonemail.com" reveals that the domain was first created on January 13, 2009 -- one week before President Obama was sworn into office, and the same day that Clinton's confirmation hearings began before the Senate.

This is very significant, because it forecloses the excuse that Mrs. Clinton was just following her existing practice of using her private email account, a force-of-habit matter. Coming as it did as Mrs. Clinton faced confirmation hearings, the establishment of the account shows an active attempt to evade the law’s requirements and conduct her official business in secret. We already know that the Clinton Foundation accepted large sums of money from foreign governments, in violation of the law, while she was Secretary of State. What other secret shenanigans were conducted beyond the gaze of the public?

I don’t for a minute imagine that Mrs. Clinton did the dirty work of establishing the email domain on her own. It is the type of detailed task she would assign to an underling, which makes this a conspiracy. If I am correct, then serious prosecution is possible, despite the realtively toothless requirements of the disclosure law itself.

Is it just me or does ole' hillary have some 'splaining to do? :|

Oh well.

On June 20, 2007, Hillary Clinton complained about Bush officials shredding the US Constitution by having secret email accounts.

Two years later, as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton set up a secret email account and secret servers in her basement for all of her official business.

But, you see, it's OK that she did it because she's a Democrat. Right?

If she weren't considering a run for President, Doc, I'd be inclined to go along with that...if she runs, though, this becomes fair game for the media, even w'/them being in the tank for her; some things won't wash w/the media, even in this day & age.

No it won't.

You expect the NYT to go sniffing through her garbage over it?

That the Washington Post is going to track down her admin assistant from back then to explain it all?

That NBC and CNN will have her come on their news program to answer real questions about it?

No.

It is going to simply go away.

And, will it matter at all to the core of the Democratic vote?

If there's enough Strum und Drang (i.e. fire & smoke) to it, Doc, they'll cover it....they'd have to just to beat Fox and the conservative press to it. Like I said, we both know most all of the chattering classes are in the tank for Hillary, but there are some things that they will not ignore, even if it offends the delicate sensibilities of the low-info Democrat voter.

At the very least, I wouldn't be surprised if Congress sunk their toothless fangs into the issue...a soundbite's a soundbite's on that one.

Any other citizen would be the walk in hand cuffs. God I hate the left and god I hate what they have turned our government into.

Well, CNN did do this:

Jeb Bush aides used private domain for public business

Updated 7:58 PM ET, Thu March 5, 2015

Washington (CNN)Republicans who are lambasting Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email address on a private server have found themselves on a minefield, each facing questions about their own transparency.

The closest parallel among Clinton's likely 2016 challengers: Jeb Bush.

The former Florida governor was quick to criticize Clinton this week amid reports that she'd never used a government email during her four years as secretary of state.

Like Clinton, though, Bush had set up his own home server with a private address during his time in office. He still uses it, giving it out at events and asking supporters to email him comments and concerns. And, like Clinton, several of his top aides had email addresses connected Bush's server, too.
