Which one do you think is more productive? Home schooling kids or having them attend public school?

I think both can be equally effective given certain conditions, but considering the political climate, the thought is 2nd in line to protecting the values of kids (conservative parents).

My kids attended school in person during the elementary years but then switched to schooling at home in later years, but they were still public-school students in the local school system, who happened to offer an online program in addition to their brick-and-mortar schools.

Overprotection from homeschooling could be a problem, but, of course, I'm against bullying, but kids with no tough gloves at all might find it difficult to live in the real world
