How did your parents meet?

Are they still together?

I believe they both worked at the same place (the hospital). My mother was a nurse, and my father was a boiler operator. To this day, I still don't understand what she saw in him.

Don't know the full story, but I believe they met in college. And are still together.

Why didn't she divorce him? My father was the same way and my mom left.

No idea.

Are they still together?

My biu-dad passed when I was a baby. my step-dad passed 8ish years ago.

Why didn't she divorce him? My father was the same way and my mom left.

Good question. I asked her the same question several times, and each time she just shrugged and gave no answer. Interestingly enough, she said how she's self sufficient and doesn't need him countless of times (which was and still is the truth), but still chose to remain in the abusive marriage. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. Personally, I cut people out of my life at the first sign of trouble. Haven't regretted it so far.
