About people having loud phone conversations in otherwise quiet public settings. Library, doctor's office, etc? Like you can hear not only the person on the phone but who they are talking to and all of their conversation? I would rather not hear people's business honestly especially in a doctor's office if I'm waiting to be called by a nurse and I can't hear because "Becky" is talking about her husband's affair. So, yeah, how does it make you feel?

EXTREMELY annoyed!

I just REALLY have to bite my tongue & not loudly tell that person to 'take it outside!!'

I think people should be allowed to live there own life and do there own thing.

as unpleasant as it is hearing a loud conversation in a pubblic place, the world is also a free world, and people have choices

I for one won't say don't do it, just because I don't like it

I think that everyone in the area should join in on the juicy discussion. :p

I've never experienced it so I don't really know.

Agreed, its really annoying. Another place that really annoys me is when you're standing in line at a convivence store or a grocery store. Then when they get up to the cashier they don't get off the phone and the cashier is awkwardly trying to talk to the person (who's on the phone), thats just rude.

That seems to be the common thing when you get to the register, people on their phones.

I just don't understand why someone would want others to listen to their conversations. If it's a disability thing, that's different, but personally I wouldn't want anyone to listen to the full on convo.

It doesn't particularly bother me, I can mostly just block them out. I find it pretty easy to slip into my own thoughts. I went to get fish and chips today and after initially noticing someone talking loudly on the phone I blocked them out to the point I didn't even notice them leave.

Yes. It’s….I don’t even know. Even right now, I’m at the doctor’s and this woman is talking on her phone loud enough for everyone to hear about her friend having IBS.

Maybe being judgmental, but seems like a total lack of discretion or 'delicacy' to me.

I assume that either they or the person they are speaking to has hearing issues and then mind my business since it doesn't concern me..

My friend is deaf in one ear because of an IED blast when he was stationed in Afghanistan and has to put all his calls on speaker phone or talk very loud or ask the person on the other end to do so in order to hear them, sometimes he does so while on speakerphone because his reception might be spotty or his environment might be loud.. but he thinks he might be losing his hearing in his other ear too.

It is annoying, but I judge a lot of it on what is being said. You can often tell if it is two people just having a conversation that could wait until any time or someone trying to fit in their life into their day.

I also find it very annoying, I mostly experience it at work in the breakroom.
I don't want to hear your conversations, especially in the one place I'm trying to get peace and quiet.

Exactly. I like to keep my conversations private so I go somewhere to be able to have them. I also am conscious of others around me too.

I didn't like that I had to wait on the Game Stop employees to get off of the phone so I could be waited on. I don't feel that's fair to put off your customers who are present and wanting to spend money over someone who is calling to check if something is available and is spending no money. At least my work place deals with the customers who come in first and makes phone calls a second priority.

Sad because my fishes have died.
