I stay properly hydrated, but not all of it via water plain and simple. People tend to misinterpret the requirement for consumption of liquid needed in a healthy diet, and presume it must be all pure water. Of course, this is debated depending on whom you ask, but a majority of professionals that I've interacted with have assured me that drinking liquids that don't have a diuretic effect on oneself, but are not water, can serve to fulfill the requirement.
I don't really have a taste for soda/pop/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, and tend to drink low/non-caffeinated teas, juices, and I actually really enjoy drinking milk, too, which debatably isn't a net positive drink to consume...
