I lived along the coast for 30 years.

You learn to have some 'stuff' in a milk crate in the closet in the kitchen and to change it out once in awhile.

And then, you also learn when to pay attention and get your house secured and have the car gassed up just before "it gets real".

We had some storm damage from a couple of them, and during Sandy our back yard turned into a lake for long enough to have tadpoles in it, and Fredrick did some tree trimming for us, but, you learn.

Got my three jobs done today so fast without traffic and everyone was happy to have me come early in the morning
