How to make new friends?

Sometimes in life you have to make new friends. Life without friends is really boring and you really need to make new friends and meet new people. However, making new friends could be a really hard thing to do. So, how do you make new friends?

I make new friends by going out to events. I simply engage the person next to me in a conversation. For the relationship to continue, I always ensure that I get their mobile number or contact address afterwards.
