It's five in the morning and I still haven't gone to sleep yet. D= Help me.

Have you ever tried lavender oil? That helps me sleep. Might not be much use to you right now though!

Get off the computer for starters..

I know how you feel, that was me last night.

Turn of the computer, then day-dream some. I usually fall a sleep after a few hours doing that.

Yoga.

No seriously, go outside, run like hell, go to an all-night pharmacy, buy over-the-counter sleeping pills, run like hell, get home, sleep. (Don't bother taking the drugs.)

Red wine!

We don't have any all night pharmacies where I live. (I live in the middle of nowhere.)

And I did get off the computer periodically and try to sleep, but it didn't work too well. I couldn't sleep for some reason anyway. I did wind up going to sleep though, but it was only for three hours. Oh well, I guess.

I like your guys' other ideas though. XD Except I've never had warm milk before and honestly, it probably tastes nasty.

I love warm milk.

Try Horlicks or a cup of tea.

Know how you feel though im an insomniac

I've had warm chocolate milk before. It actually tastes pretty good and it reminds me of hot chocolate, only it's milk and not water.

Yea, me, too. I have these kind of problems too often.

Hmmm, interesting about all the comments about warm milk tasting good. Maybe I should try it then.

Toast is a good food to eat too, to help you sleep.

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea--or their Chamomile Tea

Don't turn on lights, TV or the computer--it will 'reset' your body clock. Stay away from Caffeine.

A warm bath, tea and relaxing book..... pleasant dreams....

Just don't panic. If you can't sleep, it's better to just lie in bed and rest than get up and do things - you'll be exhausted the next day otherwise.

If you have sleeping problems and it is a regular occurrence, then you should see a doctor and maybe get on some medication that will help you sleep better at night. If it is a rare incident, then try getting your mind off of trying to sleep. At the time, you'll be worked up about sleeping and cause yourself even more trouble when you begin freaking out because you can't sleep. I always try to just stop worrying and watch TV for a bit. As long as you're laying down and resting you'll eventually grow tiresome.

Good luck.

I find it hard to sleep sometimes too. I listen to music and then I eventually fall to sleep.

Sleeping tablets are the worst possible thing to go on. They build up in your system and then you rely on them. They make you feel so groggy in the morning.

It has taken my mum about 4 years to get off them. Might be worth checking out Chinese medicine aswell. My mum went on that for a while said it really did help. (She had to stop because of life saving meds that she couldnt stop taking.)

Benadryl....I have allergies and I take Benadryl at night because I cough when I lay down and it puts me right out and its cheap.

Sabrina, I would not suggest sleep aids at ALL. They are highly addictive and will mess up your kidneys and liver when used to frequently.

My suggestion is to have a fairly brisk walk right before you're ready to go to bed. Then come home and have some warm milk as the others have suggested, and there is one thing people always forget when trying to sleep is to CLOSE YOUR EYES. With your eyes open, your brain is doing double time trying to find something to see; it wants to have input. With your eyes closed the brain slows down into a restful phase and it's that much easier to fall asleep.

Exactly what I suggest.
