sleep with the tv on?

I hardly ever turn off the TV, except when I'm away from home for a few hours. 
We don't have a tv in the bed room. For us we wanted our bedroom to represent sleep so when we go in the bedroom we get tired and have no distractions.
Before I moved here though I was a renting a room in a house and I had my tv in my room. I usually always had it on when I slept but it was mostly because my roommates were really sex positive so there was always moaning or sex sounds coming from the other rooms so I wanted to drown it out.
Now that I live in a house with my boyfriend though I don't see the need for a tv in the bedroom.

I used to do that, but now every time I try to it just gets distracting. I've stopped sleeping with the TV on. Don't have one in my bedroom anymore and haven't for a few years. TV is only in the living room where when I'm awake.
