Does it work?

Seriously, I've only just realised (about 5 minutes ago), from another comment you made, that you might be wheelchair bound. I know it's terribly indelicate to ask, but is it permanent? Were you in a car crash? I'm probably adding 2+2 and making 5 here and if you don't want to talk about it then that's fine too. I know it's the sort of thing one shouldn't ask and yet, as we're all friends here, it's just good to be able to help and support your friends and, God knows, we all need help and support at times. I'm sorry if I've been indelicate or inappropriate.

Two and Two makes Twenty-Two!

Well, I'm not 'wheelchair-bound', but yes, I use a wheelchair for mobility, lol. It's temporary - death (from old age, or otherwise) will do me part from it, or science fixes it up. It's paraplegia, resulting from the neural tube defect, Spina Bifida (<<< Don't hear that one too often these days...).

I have been in a car crash, but having been born with the paraplegia, I wasn't affected by an SCI or anything, though I acquired other injuries, not all physical, even, so to speak.

I'm also unilaterally Deaf (Left Ear), but that's something that was actually acquired much more recently and wasn't congenital...go figure, I'm an semi-ex-vocalist, and lead guitarist for a couple of bands, too (and now album producer, and indie label manager), lol.

Nah, you're not inappropriate. Really, people get too Victorian about talking about stuff like that for no reason at all...plus I have no shame anyway and am a pretty transparent person (sometimes too transparent for some people's tastes).

[EDIT: No, not really, in terms of the moooves, unfortunately the delicate and unnecessary social stigma of not asking about things tends to extend to people being afraid of the wheels(or making presumptions about abilities and inabilities) (and I use a manual anyway, not a powered chair (aka I don't ride a Jazzy (What?! It's a power chair model!
