We live on 10 acres of woods. A variety of wildlife, birds, creatures are here. I take a good 2 or 3 walks a day with our dog. I always find something interesting. I have books on our state & try to challenge myself by identifying birds, trees, wildflowers, etc. In the 20 years I’ve been birdwatching, I’ve identified 98 birds. That may not seem like that many. Some were on trails but these were mostly in our own backyard! I've also been able to identify some mammals by their tracks. Unfortunately, haven't been able to see the mammals as well as birds.

So, I'm curious. Who likes to identify what's in their area like I do? Do you keep count?

That sounds like a fun hobby!

I live in a city setting so there is not much to see. Sometimes I see lizards in my backyard.
