What illness or ailment do you suffer from?

Neurofibromatosis type 2

"For type 2 disorder, the symptoms include tumors on the nervous system, cataract formation, loss of hearing and brain tumors. In this type, the disorder attacks the cranial nerves thus collapsing the entire spinal cord and tumors are formed causing serious consequences.
Diagnoses :
Your doctor will look for the above symptoms for confirming the findings. He would also suggest doing MRI scan, X-rays, and CT scan for getting clear picture of the disorder. Genetic testing is also done for diagnosing the disease."

Endometriosis and hemorrhagic cysts. It means tissue gets shed during menstruation and grows outside the uterus causing intense pain, bloating, constipation, etc. In this case, my cysts fill with blood and erupt. I found this out early last year when I had a pelvic ultrasound done.

Sorry you two have to deal with these. I wish I could make them go away. :(

It sucks, and doctors don't really know what the cause is, nor is there a cure.  There is treatment with medication and surgery to remove cysts, but the only guarantee to prevent cysts from returning is to have the ovaries removed.

Are you going to do that?

Don't know. Right now I experience some rather terrible, sharp and burning pain on the left side that radiates up to my stomach and down my thigh when the cysts burst. I can always tell when they do or when they haven't yet. I get nauseated as well, and some other symptoms. I mean, that seems like reason enough to get surgery, but I don't know. I've been advised to treat it with medicine for now. I'm just not in any state of mind to take care of myself.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having to go through that Dee!

Thanks.  I look at it as something that's just gotten progressively worse over time, but you still work through the pain.  At least I know what it is now!

You're welcome!  Yep, never give up!

That's definitely a good thing, knowing now.

I have a slight fever right now, but it's nothing compared to what some of you guys are going through. I hope you guys get better.

That is no fun!  I get migraines every now and then. Actually, I had one last night that was so bad I couldn't have any lights on.  Thank goodness it only lasted for one night, but it was painful.
