Just two questions:

When you join a new forum, do you create an introduction thread?

What do you think of an Admin that PM's you and is angry because you didn't introduce yourself?

I don't always make an Intro thread either. Sometimes I just forget to even do it.

I got a PM from the Admin on a new forum I joined recently. He said: If you can't bother to introduce yourself to members here, then don't bother posting either. I won't post my reply back to him as it's not for the weak at heart.

Needless to say, I'm never going back there!

I tend to post an introduction.

Don't see why anyone would get upset about not posting one, though.

I always create an introduction thread. But as an Admin, I would not PM a member angrily. I can PM them showing them the forum where they can introduce themselves .

I post an introduction of myself whenever I join a forum, but I don't always do that though. If I join a forum and the admin gets angry at me for not posting an introduction then that's his/her problem. Not everyone wants to make an introduction post, even a very brief one.

I generally do, but it's not a huge deal when a member doesn't. Just power hungry admins wanting even more control

Not usually. I just get to posting. In fact I don't think I even posted one here!

I have never gotten an angry pm from an admin, but if I did I would probably make a thread...

I usually make one myself whenever I join one but sometimes I jut don't feel like it. I don't know why someone would care so much about not posting an intro thread. Some people really need to get their priorities in order as the lack of an intro thread is not the end of the world.

First thing I usually do is make an intro at a forum. If an admin gets angry that you don't. That's plain out retarded.

I usually post an introduction thread but not first thing upon arriving. I will wait a while to see what the forum has to offer because that is more important for me.

I can see why the admin might find it inconsiderate not to properly introduce yourself to the community, but it's senseless for the admin to chase you down and be angry at you because you didn't do it.

An introduction should be an option not a requirement. If you wish to post one, then you may but i'm not going to force you.

I don't know of any admin that has ever chased down members for not introducing themselves, but i cant imagine it would do all that much.

I just usually upload a avatar and post my introduction.

When a new member joins and they don't post a intro immediately, I just wait.

No need to pester them.
