IP Addresses

I came across an account (on a different forum) that had 18 different IP addresses. Made me wonder why a person would register with this many IP's or even need all of them.

Any thoughts?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Dynamic IP address?

Edit: I looked it up and found out what a Dynamic IP address is.



I guess this would come in very handy for people who get banned from a website. All they need to do is use another IP address to get right back in. Am I right?

Not just DHCP but that person could be creating accounts at multiple public wireless locations...

I have two IPs, but it's because I have one at home and one while I'm on campus. May have more showing up from various other places I've connected from, but I don't use dynamic IPs at any location. (Unless the university does and I don't know about it)

Seems like there are about 14 IP addresses I've used here. You have about 50, Jazzy

My home IP address changes every so often. Add to that my cellphone, plus if I connect to a wifi hotspot somewhere in town. It's not all that suspicious.
