Security is pretty important to me. I have taken a few precautions. A couple I don't mind sharing are:
- I have a unique password to my forums that I do not use anywhere else on the internet. If you use the same password everywhere and one of your passwords gets cracked elsewhere, you're screwed.
- I use the Xenforo software which is very solid in terms of security.
