Is Whatsapp popular in your country?

Whatsapp is one of the messaging app that we use for communicating in my country. Virtually everyone that I know that uses android phone makes use of Whatsapp messenger. This makes me wonder if it is popular worldwide?

In my experience, a lot of scammers use it on dating websites to beg for money or to catfish people. I unmatched with anyone who would ask me about it online. Most often their next request was usually wanting me to wire them money.

Yes WhatsApp is a bit popular in my country also ..... but i use it sometimes to talk with known people in my circle .... Not suitable for work because after few days transfered file will not available there ....... Even few of my clients using it on regular basis to know about work progress and other steps but i personally prefer email than communication on WhatsApp.

I agree with @MrDawn .... We need to check each message very carefully because once your website or mobile number on social media is a bit popular ... you will get lots of phising message to hack your account or they will try to get some money.

Id say its pretty popular in the UK.
I often use it to keep in touch with my real-life friends and work colleagues.

They arent all really into Discord so its easier to just have Whatsapp.
