The cartels, without question; as bad as ISIS is, they don't hold a candle to the sheer depths of brutality and depravity that the various Mexican cartels have sunk to over the course of the current Mexican Drug War...

The Islamic State has released a polished video that looks like a movie trailer apparently responding to President Obama’s promise to “degrade and destroy” the group.

Released through the same Islamic State outlet, the Al Hayat Media Center, that made its beheading videos available, the brief 52-second video is filled with images of slow-motion explosions, fighters shooting automatic weapons, flames and cars tossed into the air by bombs, all accompanied by apocalyptic music.

ISIS, the reason they are such a threat is that they are not interested in money and power, they are only interested in their 70 virgins and killing infidels.

The Cartel, as scummy as they are, for them it is about business and their power is in wealth and the ability to buy soldiers. You don't see people volunteering to die for cartels.
