Kids, guns and doctors’ rights

That's not what I meant.

It's your employers business to ensure you do not waste time on the job asking useless questions to your clients (patients).

How do you ensure that?

How do you ensure a law is followed?

You just tell people and hope for the best.

If they disobey the law they'd face charges, if they disobey their employer they face being fired.

Invasion of privacy? I'm all for freedom of speech and I'm completely against getting in the way of doctors doing their job.

As EE has been saying, this is a completely unnecessary law.

In case you didin't know, Invasion of privacy and Freedom of speech are two separate entities. Please explain how not being able to ask a parent if they own a firearm, hinders the doctors ability to treat a child. Thank you in advance and any factual proof that it does, please include in your response.

@Temerit: Seems like you skipped over my question to you:

I don't believe that not being able to ask a patient whether they own a firearm inhibits a doctor's ability to treat a patient.

@+all seeing eye: I agree with you but would also like to add that it's an invasion of privacy as well.
