Last meal cooked

Hot dogs

Just got home. The dinner was a success.

About 50 had signed up. 68 were there. But we had plenty of food.

I cooked three whole turkeys (16 - 18 pounds), three turkey breasts, and an 11 pound ham. I made three roasting pans of dressing, two pans of mashed potatoes, and boiled 3 dozen eggs for deviled eggs. The first thing that hit the heat today was the vegetation for the dressing (celery, onions, green peppers, mushrooms) and giblets cooked in butter, at about 0730. The dinner was at 1700.

Several of the regulars brought side dishes, which went over well.

When they were done, there wasn't enough left to worry about.

The youngest attendee was "Tater" who is about 4 years old, the oldest was Miss Myra, who just turned 103 in September.

Simply amazing!!! (y)

The last thing I cooked was simple, just some chicken Marylands served with a few extras like cucumber, tomatoes, etc. Since I didn’t actually cook those, I’m not counting them:p

Lasagna was the last meal i cooked.

Guessing here  ................. Pork Belly?
You’re right, it’s basically pork belly. good guessing
I roasted some pork porchetta, which is mostly pork belly and loin. I used it in a few different meals.
One was with noodles, where I added green beans, wombok (napa cabbage), and a few other ingredients like soy sauce stuff like this.
I also had the pork with a bean salad. It was a bit much to finish in one go, so I thought, why not spread it out over a few different meals, That way it wasn’t the same food every time.

The last thing I cooked was chicken tenderloins marinated in a homemade taco marinade, served with fries and a salad.
It was a simple meal that looked great, but I didn’t get to try it.

The plate came back empty, so I’ll take that as a good sign :p

The last thing I cooked was a soup based on a fermented mix of grain and yogurt or milk. I switch it up each time depending on what I have or feel like having
This time, I used cauliflower stalks and carrots. It was an easy ten minute recipe and made for a nice dinner.

I know I posted here not long ago, I thought about editing the other post, but oh well. If this is wrong, feel free to tell me

I cooked some fresh noodles and served them with bok choy in a garlic soy sauce I made, along with steak in a wasabi soy marinade. It wasn’t for me, but I tried a little, and it turned out great.

I didn’t want to fuss over taking a photo, and I didn’t want the food to get cold. Another reason is that I’m a bit obsessive about cleaning everything first, even if it’s not visible in the picture. With dishes like this, there’s no point in posting photos unless the food can sit for a bit. Also, this food cools down quickly, so I avoided taking pictures.
