Last meal cooked

I’m not sure why, but I often find myself cooking the same foods for a while before switching things up.
Lately, I’ve been all about green beans. 😋 This time, I made a small change by using flat beans instead.
Another reason I love this dish is that it’s affordable, keeping it vegan makes it even cheaper, Plus, it’s quick to make.
Most importantly, it creates minimal mess since everything can be done in one pot. The most time-consuming part is washing and chopping the veggies.
So, here’s what I cooked last.

There’s not much to guess here....most of the ingredients are easy to spot.:p

You got nearly all of them right, except there’s no tomato. The carrot probably broke while I was arranging the plate for the picture.

Anyway, there’s also garlic, fresh mint, parsley, tomato paste, sweet red paprika, black pepper, salt, and oil. (There’s also some bread and cheese on the side.) Very simple ingredients. And yes, many people would add fresh or canned tomatoes, but I usually don’t. I just use a teaspoon of tomato paste and a good amount of sweet paprika.

Many people also add dill, but my mother never did, so I’ve become accustomed to it without. Also, there is water. Now you can cook this :p, but if the vegetables are of poor quality and lack flavour, the dish will turn out tasteless. The success of this dish relies on the quality of the ingredients, as there isn’t much seasoning.

Yeah, the little bit of carrot fooled me  + the 'juice' color from the tomato paste & paprika. :D

Already I like it without the dill; just too much, maybe...might make it taste like potpourri.

It’s not always easy to identify some ingredients just by looking, like salt and such, so it was easy to think there were tomatoes

Tacos

I felt like something sweet, so on a last minute thought I made these. That’s what I cooked last. They tasted great, but the shape wasn’t quite right.
I made a small batch and didn’t want to use a big pot since it would need more oil, so I used a tiny one. Because of that ended up with an odd shape, there wasn’t enough room to get them perfect. I guess I took the lazy route!
Not the best picture though. I started eating them, quickly snapped a pic, noticed it wasn’t great, but didn’t bother with a second. I just wanted to enjoy my dessert!

Looks like some kind of fried dumpling? With jam or syrup? Whatever it is, it looks yummy!! (y)

Doughnuts, that’s what they are, with some honey drizzled on top, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts. They looked a little bad like I mentioned earlier, but they tasted great

What the heck ‽ It's what's inside that counts!! WoW! I'm drooling!

Wild + par-boiled rice, coleslaw, fresh tarter sauce, & tempura shrimp. (frozen, Costco; in the air-fryer) :D
