Last thing you ate/drank?

I've just had some peri-peri chicken and halloumi in ciabatta bread with chips, rice and garlic bread on the side. It was divine! Nando's fakeaway.

This is new to me, so I had to look it up: about the pepper used for the sauce..."Historically found in the African wild, it has recently been grown commercially in some parts of Africa, often to be used as pepper extract or as organic pest control."

That's gotta be some super-hot stuff! 175,000 Scoville Heat Units

It's really nice - and Nando's do different spice levels too, so there's something for all tastes. I usually go for Medium spice as it's not ridiculously spicy, but they do have a spice called VUSA XX Hot and I daren't try that... 🥵🥵

"Tamed" Mexican jalapeño is about my comfort level. Nando's is a really interesting-looking place; but it looks like they're not on the west coast (u.s.) yet. :cautious:

"Coming soon" I hope! (y)
