Regardless of who exactly sued the school, this spoiled brat is getting 35k.

McMillen's lawyers filed notice Monday in U.S. District Court to accept a judgment offer from the Itawamba County School District that will pay $35,000, plus attorney's fees.

She had a lawyer, whom settled this case to gain her the cash she doesn't deserve. Throw her a party for herself if you're legally obligated, but don't give her 35,000.

They probably didn't want to have to deal with court costs, media, and even more potential lawsuits. Not a good reason, but that's probably about accurate. Today, you can break into someone's house and accidentally stab yourself and file a lawsuit. It's happened before, so the teen was getting something from this anyways, and the school didn't want to focus their school year fighting this lawsuit.
