Less trolls nowadays?

Do you think trolls are less common in today's forum world?

Did you see more people trolling forums 5 or 10 years ago?

Do you think the fact that the average forum user is now over 30 years old has anything with the decline in trolls? Do you think a decline in teenagers using forums has anything to do with it?

I think because forums are less popular the trolls have moved onto social media sites, so yeah, less trolls overall comparatively.

I think all the trolls were in fact teenagers. They love the chaos and drama. We have an older crowd nowadays and while they can be opinionated, they usually aren't up to no good.

Indeed, I can think of a couple people who used to be trolls and now that they are a little older, they are good boys/girls (for the most part)

Yeah, same, shockingly some grow up to be really great people, just the intemperance of youth.

As others have said, trolling has died off on forums due to the fact forums are not a big thing. I feel like they moved to social media platforms to troll and cause problems nowadays. Also feel like trolling is handled a bit quicker nowadays than back 10-15 years ago on the forums that are still kicking.

Also yes, I used to troll as a teenager. I grew out of trolling when I started working in high school and it was boring to me.

I'd imagine it get pretty exhausting being a pain in the butt, its easier to just be yourself.

Trolling, sure, but a site dedicated to pure harassment, a site that has literally cost people their lives and put people in life threatening situations? That's something needs to be stopped.
