Less trolls nowadays?

How can trolls troll each other? I'd image its no fun for them to be there.

No, they actually get along. They come together and make projects where they harass other people together by making threads doxing Youtubers and Instagram models.

No that's wrong. The only reason you "don't see" trolls is because you're talking about conventional forums, there's no reason to troll in small spaces where you won't get a reaction. Just open up Reddit, 4chan, Discord and it's just as prevalent.

Less for sure. I had to ban one the other day. I think he was more of a Negative Nancy than a troll but I banned him for trolling nonetheless.

Most trolls are on social now. Social is really unmoderated and people like that. To each their own, I despise a bully and want nothing more than to put the hammer to them.

I think a lot of them ended up moving to Reddit and similar platforms, so there probably aren't as many on regular forums as there used to be. That being said, they definitely haven't disappeared. It's still a problem that larger forums are going to have, at least to some extent.

One of his first complaints was about you promoting your forum in the showcase. He said it wasn't relevant and demanded I remove it.

No joke.

I told him my mission is to help forum owners not be the best website out there.

Every comment after that was negative towards me and my style. There is only so much of that I can take so I gave him the boot.

This guy has a forum on a free forum host that he uses as a blog.

He's just upset about something and needs people to take it out on.

He tried doing at TAZ first but there are a lot of old school admins there that will one up him every time.

That's when he found me.

Trolls are all about attention and you're not going to find much of that on message boards nowadays considering the low activity levels. You can have a much bigger audience when trolling social media.

It probably depends on where you go. Like on Facebook, it's not like your friends or family are probably going to troll you. It's probably found in FB groups, though. I'm sure Reddit is full of trolls since it is sort of like the biggest online message board. Since a lot of social media have control over who can post to their feeds and stuff, it can deter the trolls.

Me too. I think a bunch of them are there but (thankfully) we just don't see them

And it doesn't help as some groups will be called 'uncensored' in which the mods and admins allow any and everything. If you report any comments or such you will end up getting banned from the group. This is where I see most trolling and troll posts.

To me that is like a clique.

I think cliques are what destroys communities.

It even happens in towns. You get a neighborhood clique and usually cops get called at some point or people get into it.

If we see a clique forming on our forums, I think it's best to shut them down as quickly as possible even if you lose a couple of members.

What they grow into is way worse!

Oh yeah, the comments section of FB group posts can get pretty ugly. I've seen it a few times. Seen people coming at me, trying to twist my words and take things out of context. I usually will just delete my comment instead of dignifying them with a response. Actually I rarely comment on anything on FB, I am just there to read these days and the trolls cannot have any fun with a lurker like me.

I became the same way on Reddit where I never comment anymore and just lurk around.
