A New Jersey couple is suing the Philadelphia Little League organization that's the home of star pitcher Mo'ne Davis.

Anand and Sujata Kumar are suing the Taney Youth Baseball Association.

The lawsuit filed last week says 73-year-old Anand Kumar was injured in May 2013 as the couple watched their grandson play. They say two players were tossing the ball when an errant throw struck Kumar in the eye, causing him long-term physical and emotional damage.

The Cherry Hill couple says Taney shouldn't have allowed players to practice near the stands. They want more than $50,000 in damages.

Taney did not immediately return a message.

The organization won acclaim in August when the then-13-year-old Davis became the first female pitcher to win a Little League World Series game.

The Philadelphia Daily News first reported the lawsuit Tuesday.

Thoughts?

First thought...what a bunch of sue-happy killjoys.
Second thought....what the hell was that person standing in a spot where the possibility of injury could occur? Do they not pay attention to their surroundings or what?

Wow. You go to a game, it happens. Kids are inherently bad throwers. They still have a lot of learning to do.

Grow up and get over it. People are ridiculous.
