How do you feel about members being able to lock their own threads?

They have that power here.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Would you allow members to lock their own threads on your forum?

Honestly I don't have a problem with members being able to lock their own threads. It makes moderation a bit easier, that way if they want their threads to be locked they can easily do so without having to wait for a moderator/admin to do it for them.

Doesn't really matter to me. This is a community with well over 45,000 threads. We can definitely afford to have an occasional locked thread here and there if the person who created that thread decides to do so.

I don’t really care. Enforcing that would make threads turn into fights if a moderator or admin is offline.

We don't allow it. They can request it and explain the reason, but oftentimes the topic of conversation is being carried by several other members and it is not fair to them.
