Are you the type of person who replies to posts with well thought out, detailed responses? Or do you just keep it short and to the point? Does it depend on the topic? What do you prefer to see on forums?

I do tend to keep things short. Sometimes I do write longer posts, but not too often. It's mostly a matter of how much I care about the topic at hand.

For quick reading I prefer small posts, for insightful discussion or a story it can be a giant post for all I care. If it interests me, I'll read the entire thing regardless.

It depends on the topic and what I have to say about it. if the topic requires a detailed answer/response, then I'll try everything I can to come up with a semi-decent detailed response. If it's something that doesn't require details, then I'll try to keep it short and to the point. It seriously depends on the topic, really.

It's totally topic-dependent. A discussion regarding religious views and why you hold them would be far lengthier than say, a post in the Last Game Played thread. If something I post requires detail, I give it. If it doesn't, I do not.

I never seem to ever write more than a paragraph in any given reply to any given topic. So I guess that puts me in the "short and to the point" category.
I guess I prefer to read shorter responses when browsing a forum because it makes reading multiple replies to a topic easier, but I don't mind if someone is long winded while making a great point.

Usually, short.

Sometimes I'll make a longer post as occasionally there are topics where longer discussions are needed. Such as the long answer to the current topic is longer than the short answer. But then, sometimes, longer answers tend to ramble and include details about French Fries or temporary spare tires on cars that have nothing to do with the topic and simply fill space or otherwise detract from the debate.

It depends on what the genre of the topic is about. Though if it's important to me you'll find my posts are longer, than if the topic isn't a particular interest of mine.

Both. It depends entirely on the subject. My response to this question is short. :P
