What has taken you the longest to get good or decent at?

Chess. I played it for several years as a child/teenager, then drifted away from it for 13 years, and got back into it about a year ago.

I'm currently in the mid-1500s on Chess.com, which is decent, but I still have a lot to learn!

Cooking.

I still can't make toast without burning it

I don't have much of an interest in it though (cooking I mean), and for someone who lives alone, that either means takeouts every night or food poisoning.

There is a lot, mostly because I don't care to get better. :coffee:
I will stick with some cooking also, and I say measuring ingredients was never my forte.
I grew up adding a bit of this and a bit of that.

Shopping (y)

Spiking railway tracks. It took over 20 years for me to learn how. That's when I realised I blinked just before I hit the spike and I'd miss.

Mostly doing yard work. I started when I was 10. I thought everyone could do it. But no, there's this woman down the street whose yard is overgrown all of the time. She tries to do it. She has a riding lawnmower and everything. She just sucks at doing it. Like no one ever taught her how. My brother is the same when it comes to yard work. He hates doing it and often when he does it, it looks terrible. He misses spots and doesn't trim the weeds near his house.
