Love about Christmas

Obviously presents, but mostly spending time with family. This year will be the first year in a long time we don't have to deal with a piece of shit sorry excuse for a human being called my mother's soon to be ex-husband bringing everyone down. It'll just be good.
Which "Christmas" do you mean?
The Western Christmas (begun sometime in August), culminating on 25 December?
The Eastern Christmas celebrated on the night of 6 January into the day of 7 January?
Or the Armenian Orthodox Christmas on 19 January.
Of course, there is the old Feast of St. Nicholas which, by some traditions, is Christmas as well, held on 6 December.

So I suppose 'when it's over' is a good point.For me it's not about spending time with family as I spend time with them anyway.
It's usually only my Aunties family, my parents, my sister and my brother.
I am no believer in any god but I just love the whole feeling about Christmas. The lights, people being personally a little more generous and patient with others. Different kinds of food I do not eat except for this time of year. Time with the family and the get togethers. Playing Christmas music in the car and listening to it in every store for the next month. I will admit on December 26th I get a little sad it is over for one more year.

I enjoyed playing Santa for low income kids twice when another Santa never showed up for my wifes work. I did not want to do it the first time but after some sweet talking from my wife I reluctantly did it. I was scared to death these kids would call me out for being the fraud Santa I was and I did not want to ruin there belief in Santa at a ripe young age when such things still exist. These kids gave me actual lists they wrote out for items they want. And what shocked me is these kids on most of these lists were asking for things not so much for themselves but for there brothers and sisters instead.

Something else I love about Christmas is what happened last night. Had a hard ass day at work got home did my paper work. The wife gets home looks like she had a rough day. Neither one of us wants to cook or go somewhere with a lot of crowds. So I suggest Panera and she agrees. We drag our tired butts over there and when I came in I noticed the Christmas tree in there that I had not really noticed the last two times I have been in there since December began. I see it has these papers covering the tree. I read it and it was individual pieces of paper to help the children who do not have parents where you choose 5, 10, 15 or 20 dollars. I can't remember the organization right now but it is a big one. I think to myself so close to Christmas and look how sadly full the tree is. I yank off a hand full of them and lets just say it was the most expensive dinner I have had ever at Panera. I love that feeling and Christmas time just enhances that will to give and help. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
