Maryland police seize marijuana-laced candy

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say they've seized several boxes of candy infused with marijuana.

Police said Friday that the candy came to the area from the West Coast and Colorado, and includes taffy and chocolate bars.

Each piece of candy seized, they say, has about 100 milligrams of THC.

Police say it's the first time they've seen that type of product in their jurisdiction and wanted to make parents aware of the seizure ahead of Friday's trick-or-treating.

Police declined to say where the candy was seized and how they became aware of it but said they planned to release further details later Friday.

Children (and adults, of course) have much easier access to alcohol and nicotine which is surprisingly legal as it is much more damaging both physically and emotionally so I wouldn't worry too much about a few odd candy bars

just like saying every drunk is the same, and acts the same when they're drunk, which clearly isn't the case... people act differently with different things... just because one drunk blames everything on the beer/liqueur, doesn't mean it's true and it's not just their stupidity...
