...maybe it charged at a cop, who knows...
(CBS News) A memorial tree for Michael Brown, the unarmed 18-year-old black man who was killed last summer by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., was found cut in half less than 24 hours after it was dedicated, reports CBS affiliate KMOV. The tree was dedicated Saturday by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association as a "symbol of peace, comfort and hope," but was found vandalized just hours later, on Sunday morning.

A stone that was placed at the memorial was also missing, according to the station. The memorial was located along a walking trail in January Wabash Park in Ferguson. KMOV reports police say they were investigating but do not have any suspects yet.

A grand jury declined to indict Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed Brown on August 9, 2014.

The case inflamed racial tensions and sparked sometimes violent protests across the county. It also prompted a review by the U.S. Justice Department, which decided not to prosecute Wilson, who resigned in November. The federal department did, however, release a scathing report blasting the city's police department for racial bias and profiling.

*adds deadpan* ...then again, maybe Darren Wilson needed the firewood...:whistle::whistle:

I always have something to say. ;) But in this case it is called a business comes first when I am not at my desk to doing paper work and also my opinion here. Anyways hate to see any kind of purposely planted tree destroyed. But have very little feeling about it being destroyed since the guy was a criminal and thug.

how convenient that @TRUE LIBERTY or @DrLeftover has nothing to say about this... :|

Justice, Liberty has a point there; it sucks that someone took down a purposely planted tree...but on the other hand, Michael Brown was a thug who tried to kill Darren Wilson, so all I'd say about it is oh, well...

Perhaps it's taking them longer to come up with something more *clever* than what the moderating leader of The Three Stooges had come up with.

So was that copper!~

i just don't understand your logic here @TRUE LIBERTY, you're all for corruption and cops being bad and killing because you never seem to get outraged over it, yet you get outraged over certain groups of people doing it, why is that? :|

I still can't believe Darren Wilson managed to get away with shooting a unarmed 18 year old.

It's sad that people are so disrespectful these days.

I am hardly for corruption and cops being bad. And when the truly bad ones get caught I say bravo! It is just we see things differently slightly or maybe not slightly. Where you see mass corruption and violence from a million cops nation wide I see a small percentage of maybe 4 or 5 percent of the nation having issues. Where you see the big news stories of late about cops supposedly being bad I have not seen or has grand juries and the evidence backing it up. But if you recall I did follow your belief the cops who choked the man to death should have been in trouble for what they did. And even though I have not made up a final opinion on this case yet and will wait for what comes out from further investigation and the court it is looking like corruption to make a bunch of cops scape goats. Again on that one time will see for my final opinion.

I get it now.

You and your wife have the perfect marriage because you like to nag
and vent at people on the net to get it all off your very small chest.
