Mindfulness is being able to control your emotions by using your mind, by choosing happiness over sadness and by enjoy every moment of life. To choose how you want to live your life. To become aware of the fact that you can choose what to do in your life personally and that's the beauty of life. How about you?Have you tried mindful living personally?
 
No, because often times there are things beyond our control affecting our ability to “choose happiness".
 
I believe in holistic living which includes the body & mind. We believe everything goes hand in hand. When one part hurts, it affects the entire physical & mental being. Same too when a human being suffers, while we may not feel it directly, it does affect us indirectly.
Mindfulness is being aware of your surroundings. Your feelings. Being considerate of yourself, others, & the Earth & its creatures. I do practice it as I feel it has helped me become healthier & hone my empathy towards others.
I don't believe we can "choose" to be happy as we can where we "choose" a car. There's more to it than that.
 
I personally think that we can practice our different emotions in this world. We can choose to be someone with our emotions, but it will never be perfect and sustain every day.
