Another famous conspiracy theory suggests that the moon landing was faked. What do you know about this theory? Do you have doubts that humans landed on the moon in 1969?

With our primitive technology back in 1969 it seems a little far fetched to be able to land on the moon, but we could totally do it now no problem.

I guess I'd have to say that I believe it. BUT. There does linger a reasonable doubt.
Because the competition with Russia was so heavy at that time, it is hard to believe that Russia would have let us get away with faking it.

NASA is preparing for a new moon mission planned for 2025, assuming the test flight of the new rocket goes as planned.

I guess Major Tom is going to have to wait to make the grade.

I don’t see how we couldn’t have landed on the moon. Also, wouldn’t the Russians have found out and exposed us by now if it was fake?

What’s interesting to look into is the origins of the conspiracy was started by a guy named Bill Kaysing. He worked at Rocketdyne (the company that makes the Saturn V rockets) and wrote a book about how he thinks we didn’t do it.

The reason why it worked was because of how at face value it looks like he has credibility. What? But he worked at the company that made the rockets, how is that not full proof credibility? The key word here is worked at a rocket company. Just because you work for a rocket company doesn’t mean you’re an expert on rockets, or know anything about rockets.

Kaysing’s job was that he wrote the technical manuals for the rockets, and by wrote I mean he just transcribed the handwritten notes an actual engineer wrote to a typewriter.

So the conspiracy was started by basically a fraud. So why believe it was fake when the guy calling it out is also fake?
