So what we've discovered from this is, you are unable to read, unable to take part in a discussion without using a pejorative term towards a member who has a different opinion, you don't actually know anything about said topic because you fail to recognise how much influence AC/DC actually have had and finally, you like making things up.

Can't say any honestly. Every band has influenced future music and bands in some way. Check out your favorite rock start and what his foundations of music we're. Many of them list rock of course but also, blues, jazz, country, pop, and all other sorts. It takes a very wide mind to succeed in music.

Ok if you find Wikipedia so reliable then you'd know that AC/DC are allegedly, according to Wikipedia, the pioneers of heavy metal. But since you read what you want you will have missed that or simply chose to ignore it.

I wouldn't say I'm being hypocrite at all. Whether you apologised or not calling Doc a faggot was way out of line. And why that was ever ok in your mind is beyond me. I'm calling you stupid because you refuse to accept AC/DC have had a profound influence on rock and metal. This is fact, not opinion.

Just because you don't like a band doesn't mean they haven't had a massive impact on their peers. An example I am going to use is Nirvana. I am not a massive fan of them but I recognise how influential they are. Same with Metallica, they've influenced so many other bands but I've never been properly into them.

AC/DC is arguably one of the most successful bands in rock history IMO. Although quite a bit of the bands I see being thrown out here as "overrated" are the same. I think this thread is less about bands being "overrated" and more about biases the individual posters have with the rock genre through the ages in general. Sounds to me like a bunch of kids who cannot appreciate music nor have the open mind to judge all fairly and equally.
