…💔…he obviously had much emotional conflict within himself so it’s very possible that he didn’t hate you at all ….I’m very sorry, though…

He did, there are complex reasons behind that, but I know he did. He was 16 years older than me and I spent my childhood wondering why.

…I guess that part of what forms any sibling bonds is sharing things through our childhood that become ‘nostalgic’…and that’s less likely to be the way when there’s a big age difference…the Older sibling might have more parental type feelings…

…also, that nature/nurture thing is something that I’ve always been fascinated with because we can have the same parents/the same environment etc…and yet in character we can have so little in common with our siblings…

As an update, my mother has been transported to a rehabilitation facility today. She will be there for a while as she attempts to recover from this injury.

She's on the slow road to recovery, but thankfully she is up and walking (with help from a walker) the hallway of the rehabilitation facility. A very good sign!

…ahhhh, that’s excellent that she’s up and walking the corridors with a Walker…as you say, it’s a really good sign that she’s determined to be mobile again and very much focused on her recovery…and the good thing for her is that she’ll be able to keep an eye on everyone there as she has her daily walks…I’m so pleased that she’s recovering splendidly and being well looked after…🩷

….ahhhhh, I imagine that you and she have clashed with that strength in her personality many, many times….but at the moment, thank the Lord for it…it really is going to get her back on her feet literally…🩷

Oh absolutely, both before and after the onset of dementia, she has been one stubborn, stubborn woman
