Ralph is quite possibly the world's only wetsuit-wearing penguin -- but he doesn't don these duds for the attention. It's not even a photo-friendly publicity stunt at Ralph's home, the Marwell Wildlife Center in Winchester, England.
Ralph has a little problem, and it goes far beyond the usual penguin-pattern baldness. While most birds slowly lose and regrow their feathers as part of a molting process that takes up to six weeks, Ralph loses all of his at once -- leaving his pink flesh exposed to the sun and putting him at risk for sunburn.
