Do you buy name brand items/clothes?



I usually don't, but sometimes I do. I won't pay $100 for a pair of shoes when I can buy an off brand for half the price, when both look identical. Same with most of my clothes. I won't buy from stores that are completely overpriced simply because they have a name brand on them. For example, a polo from JC Penny's is typically half the price of what you would pay for a polo from Macy's. Both are of the same fabric and quality, yet one is priced more than the other because of a brand name.

Yep. Most of the time it's the same stuff with-out a logo on it.

I try to buy name-brand stuff, as long as it's not ridiculously overpriced. I'm fine with the cheaper stuff. It's the same thing, just without a special logo, as previously stated.

Sometimes but not always.

Aside from clothes, a lot of time stores will pay for private labeling, meaning they'll get the name brand companies to put the store's label on the name brand item. Its the same product inside.

The only reason I buy name brand is for the quality. However, I don't always buy name brand. As someone who works in retail and who has been a consumer for a long time, you learn to tell which name brands actually give you that quality, and which ones you can skimp out on. I never buy stuff for the logos, though. Never been into owning things like Coach or Michael Kors, Apple or constantly holding a Starbucks in my hand.

i'll never buy national brands of anything as a rule unless i stumble into it at a thrift store.

i buy the store brand or generics at the grocers and never even go near big box stores like target or wally world. all you're paying for is the advertising. very often the store brands and national brand are the same product packed at the same plant but with different labels.

Sometimes. If it's a decent price, I'll usually get it if it's in clothing. A lot of it is over priced though, so I'd rather get the cheaper option. I'm also for good deals on name brand things too.

Not a huge fan of store brand foods though from the grocery store. I'll get some store brand things, but I typically go for the name brand in the grocery store. There's usually coupons for them, & on top of that, they'll be on sale, so I can usually get a pretty good deal.
