Did you always get the .com's associated with your name choice?My forums are typically named after the subject matter and usually with some sort of twist to them, I've had so many down the years I don't even remember all of their names at this point. I just try to keep it simple and as strong as possible.

They say........."Simplicity is the Essence of Design."I think the name can be significantly important and help guide visitors in your direction when the name has a clear vibe of what the forum is all about. My current forum has a pretty simple name for Jcink coding, being 'jCodes'. The 'j' basically implies Jcink and the 'codes' implies exactly what the forum is meant for, so it sounded conveying enough to me.
