I got my new car registered in my name. DMV gave me new license plates & tags.. Removed my old car from my insurance policy and added my new one.. I'm all legal. My old crappy car is just a memory now.

Hey now - I only was offering my constructive two cents; based on your own words lol. You painted the dire scene. I had a vehicle in better straits than your recent sale, and it took some real arm-twisting to get it sold, so I was inferring from personal experience and the self-reported condition of the car. Like I mentioned - I wished you no ill, so it's cool you got the cash for it so quick.

Its easy to unload a $500 car that runs and has current registration / tags good for another 9 months & recently passed a smog check (emissions test).

The scene I painted wasnt really that dire. The only thing that is really wrong with the engine is the leaky radiator. Other than that it runs fine. The rest of the car's problems are mostly appearance wise.

Well that's true in your neck of the woods I guess, and I know where I am now, it would likely be possible. Where I've spent most of my time with cars it would be a tough sell (but then again, where I'm referring to tends to be a bit high-brow and hyper-modernist with some pretty entrenched environmentalists).

Are you talking about San Francisco? I live about 70 miles from there. Bunch of nut jobs out there who think they are better than everyone else.

Nah, this is on the East Coast (and smaller), but it can draw certain comparisons, but I wouldn't say a clone...though if you asked me the closest place to it outside of the state and easily recognisable, I probably would say San Francisco lol.
